New Video Kitchen

I am remiss in uploading new content. The catering business is crazy busy (thank G-d) and I've been diligent in producing successful events. I have missed blogging and uploading the many recipes and photos piling up on my desk. In between events, the last 6 months are spent cobbling together a new kitchen for video shoots. Combined with the many hours dedicated to the project by videographer Gordon Modin, we're thrilled to have a space that allows for easy production shoots.

Basically, the kitchen is a compilation of what we refer to as my many 'non-negotiables'. The tone of voice reflects either an endearing quality respectful of my taste or a sarcastic reference to my stubborn attachment to my final decision on appliances. Thank you Almvig's Appliances for working with me to get awesome products.

Catering extra events to satisfy my fix for kitchen toys has proven rewarding. I also contributed a little bit of labor; easy stuff like painting. Here I am tiling my first project ever - handmade recycled glass tiles from Bedrock Industries here in Seattle. The tiling itself was pretty straightforward thanks to the expert install by Pius Cabinets and Granite. Watching them install the cabinets and cut the granite slab is incredible; perfect leveling makes tile work fast and simple. Grouting is a bit more messy but I think I eventually figured it out.
